End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Sante Kotturi ("Developer") for the use of Teo ("the App"), a fitness application available for Apple Watch and iPhone.

By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1. License Grant

The Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store Terms of Service and this EULA.

The App's source code is separately licensed under the MIT License at github.com/santekotturi/teo. This EULA governs your use of the compiled App distributed through the Apple App Store. The MIT License governs your use of the source code.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Use the Teo name, logo, or branding to distribute a modified version of the App through the App Store or any other app marketplace without written permission
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Represent the App as a medical device or use it to make medical decisions

3. Health Data & HealthKit

The App accesses Apple HealthKit data including heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep analysis, workout history, running metrics (pace, cadence, power, stride length, ground contact time, vertical oscillation), and GPS location during workouts.

All HealthKit data is:

  • Processed entirely on your device
  • Never transmitted to any external server or third party
  • Never used for advertising or data mining
  • Never sold, shared, or disclosed to anyone
  • Used solely to provide the App's fitness features to you

4. Location Data

The App uses CoreLocation to record GPS routes during workouts and provide backtrack navigation. Location data is stored locally on your device as part of your workout record in HealthKit. Location data is never transmitted to any external server.

5. No Medical Use

The App is not a medical device and is not intended for medical use. Readiness scores, cardiac load, heart rate zone analysis, and all other metrics are for fitness and training purposes only. Do not use the App to diagnose, treat, or prevent any health condition. Consult a healthcare professional before beginning any exercise program.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

8. Apple App Store

This EULA is between you and the Developer, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA. Upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary.

9. Termination

This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this EULA will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies.

10. Changes

The Developer may update this EULA from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised EULA.

11. Governing Law

This EULA is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
